Meet Your Dog’s New Favorite Photographer

Hi! I’m Donna, and I’ve always believed dogs are pure magic. From their soulful gazes to their quirky personalities, every dog brings a special kind of joy—and I feel incredibly lucky to call photographing them my life’s work.

I share my home (and plenty of adventures) with two lovable Border Collies – Believe and Asher. When I’m not snuggling, playing or taking them on adventures you’ll find me behind the camera capturing the heart and soul of dogs like yours.

But long before Believe and Asher, there were my first dogs—two Golden Retrievers who completely stole my heart. They were my companions through so many milestones, and their loss was immeasurable. Every day, I find comfort and joy in the large framed portrait of them that hangs in my office. It’s more than just a photograph—it’s a reminder of their love, the moments we shared, and the inspiration they still bring to my life. That’s why I feel so strongly about creating the same gift for others.

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography, over two decades as a professional positive dog trainer, and a bottomless supply of patience, I know how to bring out the best in every dog. Whether they’re shy, boisterous, or a bit of both, we’ll create images that reflect their personality perfectly.

I don’t just take pictures; I capture the unconditional love and connection you share with your dog. From their beauty and sweetness to their mischievous, playful side, my goal is to help you celebrate the moments you never want to forget—with stunning artwork you’ll treasure forever.

In the Press

I was recently featured in Bold Journey and they asked me to talk about some things I don’t usually lead with. My mental health journey. My decade of agoraphobia. The fact that I was once genuinely terrified of dogs. And how all of it somehow led me here, to a life and a career that I love more than I ever thought possible. I had the pleasure of sitting down with the Good Neighbor Northshore Podcast to talk about life as a professional pet photographer, building a business around the things you love, and what it really takes to make it work. Have a listen!

When author Gerilyn Bielakiewicz needed a photographer to bring her book to life, I was honored to step behind the lens. All of the interior photography for The Everything Dog Training and Tricks Book, Volume 2 is mine and I could not be more proud of it.

Donna, without fail, will make your pup feel like a superstar. Most photographers hesitate to work with animals, but Donna knew all the best spots to make every dog shine. The only downside is now my dog wants to stay with Donna, not me!
